英语课程标准中已明确指出了，口语测试和听力测试对评价学生综合运用语言的能力的重要性。

一、听力测试的原则与方法 听力测试考查的方面：

“听是分辨和理解话语的能力，即听并理解口语语言的含义。《课标解读P.49》” “听力测试在学期、学年考试和结业考试中所占比例应不少于20%。听力测试应着重检测学生理解和获取信息的能力，不应把脱离语境的单纯辨音题作为考试内容。《课标解读P.39》 ”
