【摘要】：兴趣是学好语言的关键，激发学生学习英语的兴趣是英语教学的一项重要任务。背诵是英语学习中一种必不可少且行之有效的方法。良好的背诵习惯对英语听说读写能力的提高，以及学好英语打下坚实的基础。然而，现在的中学生学英语大多不愿意、不喜欢，甚至懒于去背诵。并因为繁重的背诵任务，而对于英语失去兴趣。本文从分析背诵的重要性入手，谈论教师在课堂上如何引导学生背诵，从而激发学生兴趣，提高教育教学质量。 【关键词】: 背诵；学习兴趣；教育质量 一、引言

随着世界大环境的发展，和我国教育的要求，英语是一门必修的语言。然而现在的中学生对英语学习却缺乏兴趣、缺乏学习动力。而成绩较差的学生，他们在困难——不感兴趣——成绩差——更困难——更不感兴趣——成绩更差的轨道上恶性循环。究其原因学生认为学英语很累。大量单词、短语、课文的背诵使其产生思想负担,怕记,怕读,甚至怕上英语课。这样的现状是令人堪忧的。然而，令学生烦闷的背诵在学习英语的过程中是相当重要的。如何使学生明白背诵的重要性，提高对背诵的兴趣，又在背诵中找到学习英语的成就感，是我们老师值得深思的问题。 二、 背诵在英语学习中的必要

（一）基数词

说明：

1．13—19是由个位数加后缀-teen构成。注意其中13、15的拼写是thirteen和fifteen。

2．20—90由个位数加后缀-ty构成，注意其中20—50的拼写分别是twenty, thirty, forty 和fifty;80的拼写是eighty。

3．其它非整十的两位数21—99是由整十位数加连字符“-”，再加个位数构成。如： 81 eighty-one。
