根据所掌握的定语从句的知识，熟练地使用定语从句也是高考英语写作的一项基本要求。定语从句属于较为复杂的语法结构，根据内容要点在短文中适当地运用定语从句有助于提高写作的得分。

定语从句在句中作定语修饰一个名词或代词，被修饰的名词、词组或代词叫做先行词。定语从句通常出现在先行词之后，由关系词(关系代词或关系副词)引出 一、定语从句关系词的基本用法(见下表)

定语从句的翻译(1): 较短的限制性定语从句可译成带“的” 的定语词组。
