我也有一个梦想，为了我们赖以生存的家园的梦想。这个梦想，也正是所有想保护大自然的人们共同梦想中的一小部分。这个梦想，就是保护森林。

如今人类社会发展迅速，发展越快就越需要从自然界中获取能量和物质。来自自然界的能量多种多样，就比如水力、风力、太阳能等直接能源，和煤、石油、木材等间接能源。其中木材源自树木，而树木又是生物所必需的物质——氧气的制造场所，且有吸收生物呼吸的主要产物——二氧化碳的功能。我们可以说，没有植物就没有动物。
