一．教材分析

本单元多数以用照片的形式谈论过去和现在的变化,重点语句

I was two. They were young.新单词有：was, then, grandparent, me, hair, so等. 通过本单元的学习使学生能够用“was/were”谈论过去的事情和情况。 二．学情分析

四年级的学生已经在三年级学习的基础上积累了一定的英语知识，包括一定的听说能力，学习的步骤及过程词汇的积累，和一些简单的语法等知识，在本单元学习中，重在培养学生能灵活运用口语和句型的表达。四年级的学生从小到他们的现在，已经发生了不少变化，因此，学习本单元内容变得更加简单而有趣。

教材选自人教新版PEP五年级英语下册Unit4 When is Easter? Read and write.本节课内容主要分为读、写三个部分：第一部分要求学生阅读四篇日记。第二部分为朗读和连线活动，要求学生将小猫出生后的变化与相应的日期连线。第三部分为有意义的抄写句子活动，要求学生根据短文或连线题正确规范地仿写有关小猫的两个句子。在本节课学习之前，学生已经学习了序数词以及日期、节日的表达，学生对序数词以及日期等的读音、运用已经有所掌握。本节课的学习体现了教材循序渐进、由易到难的编排构思，又符合学生的知识水平和认知水平，在本教材中有承上启下的作用。

2.学情分析
