一、课程性质和任务

本课程是高等职业技术院校海洋船舶驾驶专业的一门主干专业课程。它的任务是：训练学生在船值班工作的英语听说能力，为上船工作进行业务交流打下良好的语言基础。

二、课程教学目标

本课程的教学目标是：使学生具备一定的听力能力和较流利的值班驾驶员会话能力，达到《1978／95公约》和中华人民共和国海事局所规定的船舶操作级驾驶员的适任标准。

（一）知识教学目标

通过听和说获得知识，信息和语言，经过思维，在原有知识及语言的基础上对所获得的内容和语言加工和重组，开发学生的语言能力和运用英语进行交际的能力。 （二）能力培养目标

【摘要】本文旨在借鉴Grice的合作原则理论，使航海英语听力与会话课堂的教学内容和教学活动更加合理的结合，并从教学技巧的角度改善课堂教学效果，促进学生语言知识和口语技能的提升，发挥教师的良好作用。
