摘 要：在好莱坞电影史，乃至整个世界电影史上，希区柯克以及他风格独特的“希区柯克式电影”都占据着不可动摇的重要一页。希区柯克从影55 年，共执导了53 部电影。他的电影跨越了影从默片到有声片，从黑白片到彩色片的所有时期。并且形成了特色鲜明的“希区柯克式电影”风格。

希区柯克电影艺术的最大特色是极其巧妙地将“悬念”有机地融入影片的情节之中。他本人也因之被誉为“悬念大师希区柯克”。而“悬念”似乎总是和另外一个词“窥视”挂上钩，所有希区柯克电影的基础其实就在于窥视。在希区柯克所有涉及到窥视这一主题的电影中，最深刻探讨这一主题、最典型的电影当然还是《后窗》。希区柯克说：“不错，这（男主角杰夫，詹姆斯·斯图尔特饰）是一个有偷窥癖的人，但难道我们就没有偷窥癖吗？”从希区柯克电影世界中我不难看出，他显然非常认同弗洛伊德的这一观点：人人都有“窥视癖”，这是人的一种天性。
