随着世界大环境的发展，和我国教育的要求，英语是一门必修的语言。然而现在的中学生对英语学习却缺乏兴趣、缺乏学习动力。而成绩较差的学生，他们在困难——不感兴趣——成绩差——更困难——更不感兴趣——成绩更差的轨道上恶性循环。究其原因学生认为学英语很累。大量单词、短语、课文的背诵使其产生思想负担,怕记,怕读,甚至怕上英语课。这样的现状是令人堪忧的。然而，令学生烦闷的背诵在学习英语的过程中是相当重要的。如何使学生明白背诵的重要性，提高对背诵的兴趣，又在背诵中找到学习英语的成就感，是我们老师值得深思的问题。 二、 背诵在英语学习中的必要
