转眼间，一个学期就过了一大半了，眼看英语B级考试就快来临。B级考试一直是学生头疼，教师关心，学校关注的国家性考试。为了提高学生B级通过率，无疑需要我们费一番心力。近段时间所有大一学生正如火如荼地备考英语B级。可是遇到一个问题，对于一部分很早就放弃了英语的同学，重拾英语实属不易，再看到试题已觉乏味。怎么解决这个问题，我也做了一番思考，采取了一些措施，希望能帮到学生们。

我将B级备考课分成了4个专题：词汇与语法，阅读，翻译，写作。每堂课我都会插入听力练习。近期，我开始讲翻译这一节。翻译的分值20分，仅次于阅读的分值，而这部分又是短时间内最容易提高的部分。就拿这部分来说，我悉心备课，以求学生愿意听，听得懂，学得会。于是，我在每堂课中都会加入有趣的元素：

1、翻译带有西方文化的事物

很多词汇或者短语都带有西方的文化或习俗在里边，翻译起来特别容易犯错误，貌似没有错误，实则大相近庭。比如：“milky way”，几乎全班学生等异口同声的译为“牛奶路”，“milk”确实有”牛奶”的意思，“way”也有“道路”的意思。但“milky way”却是“银河”的意思。我们要知道“milk”不仅仅是指牛奶，而是一切奶的总称。当然“银河”跟同学们的
