今天的国际与同内的环境、社会与经济与政治与文化的特殊景观，一句话，今天这样的时代，还需要读中国古代的经典吗？

我们今天所处的时代，的确是一个具有多重身份、多重性格的时代。你可以从不同的角度，不同的侧面加以解读。比如你可以说，现在是一个大力推进现代化进程的时代，是一个全球一体化的时代；也可以说这是一个信息爆炸的时代，是知识过剩的时代，当然也是一个文化垃圾充斥的时代；还可以说这是一个消解文字的时代，一个读图时代等等。

那么身处如此繁杂、令人眼花缭乱的时代，不用说中国古代经典，宽泛些说，我们还需要读书吗？我是批文字的文本阅读，现在还有它的价值吗？

实际情况是，现在在我们中国，很多人已经不喜欢读书了。不读书的“理由”据说可以举出很多，可是我想说的是，文本阅读是不可缺少的。读书风气其实就是一个社会的文化风气，甚至也是一个社会的道德风气的反映。因为读书不仅使人获取知识，还可以使人变得安宁，减少浮躁气。而我们今天的社会，可以说充满了浮躁气。扎扎实实做事情的人少了，走捷径、取巧的人多了。此种情况下，培养文本阅读的兴趣、形成读书风气，尤为重要。如果说人们往往喜欢追求时尚的话，读书
