八年级正是养成良好阅读习惯的关键时期。作为教师的我们应该如何在此阶段去培养好学生的阅读素养是一个很值得探讨的课题。本文就是想在此方面做一些初步的探讨。作者认为学生阅读素养的提高主要包括培养学生的阅读兴趣和自信心、良好的阅读习惯、自主学习的能力，发展学生的合作精神，使学生形成一定的综合语言运用能力，从而使其在情感态度，文化知识等方面得以进一步的发展和提高。

八年级英语阅读教学的主要任务是：培养学生的阅读兴趣，使学生树立英语阅读的自信心，培养学生良好的阅读习惯，发展学生自主学习的能力和合作精神，并使使学生掌握一定的阅读技能，从而形成一定的综合语言运用能力。综合语言运用能力的形成是建立在学生语言技能、语言知识、情感态度和文化知识等素养整体发展的基础上；而语言技能是综合语言运用能力的基础，包括听、说、读、写能力，其中阅读能力为重中之重。通过对八年级英语阅读文章的教学，我在培养学生综合语言运用能力方面，特别是在学生阅读能力的培养上做了一些尝试，收到了较好的效果。在此，我想结合我的教学实践，就如何运用教材内容，培养学生阅读能力和良好的阅读习惯等，谈谈自己的体会。
