1.学会使用比较级和其他用于比较的词撰写文章介绍自己交友的原则及自己和好友的相同点和不同点。

2.学会撰写招聘广告及通过比较选择适合招聘的最佳人选。

【知识点精讲】

1.care about 关心，在意 care for 喜欢；照料

My father doesn’t care for tea.

He has to care for his sister at home.

care 作不可数名词，“小心；注意；关怀”，常用短语：

take care=be careful take care of = look after

Take care when you walk cross the street.

We should take care of ourselves.

2.make sb. To do sth. 让某人做某事make 作使役动词，后面接省略to的不定式做宾语补足语。

Colors can change our moods（情绪）and make us feel happy or sad.

ugh at... 嘲笑某人

smile at... 向 微笑

4.both作代词，意为“两个；两个（都）”，一般位于助动词、情态动词和系动词之后，实义动词前。修饰名词时，名词必须为复数；作主语时，谓语动词用复数。 辨析both与all，neither与none

5.as long as 只要；既然

⑴意为“只要”，引导条件状语从句，从句用一般现在时表将来。

You will get good grades as long as you work hard.

⑵意为“既然”，引导原因状语从句。

As long as you want to go to Beijing on vacation, let’s start tomorrow.

6.be different from.... 与 不同

反义词组：be the same as，与 一样

Chinese is quite different from English.

Her dress is the same as mine.

7.bring about 使显现；使表现出

bring about the best/worst in sb.把某人最坏最好的一面展现出来

还意为“出版；生产”

Next month they will bring out a new book.

8.Less作副词little的比较级

⑴修饰形容词或副词，意为“不如，不及”，less+形/副+than

I’m less outgoing than my sister.

⑵修饰动词，意为“更少”。

Eat less and exercise more.

9.if引导宾语从句时，作“是否”讲，常放在动词ask 、see 、say 、know和find out等后面，一般情况可与whether互换。

⑴if引导宾语从句时，虽具有疑问意义，但从句语序应用陈述句语序。 The old woman asked me if I knew the way to the hospital . ⑵if引导的宾语从句遵循宾语从句的时态规则。即主句为一般现在时，从句用任一种时态；主句为一般过去时，从句则用过去时中的任一种时态。如： I don’t know if he will come.

Tom asked if I had read the book .

10.reach for sth 伸手取某物

He reaches for the box.

11.in fact 事实上；实际上

In fact, I think you are wrong.

12.be similar to 与 类似的

My hat is similar to his.

13.call...at... 拨打 找

Please call Ms.Zhang at 800-8820.

14.辨析the other，the others，other，others，another

【经典句型】

1.That’s why... 意为“那就是 的原因”，why引导的句子作表语，是表语从句。 That’s why I don’t want to stay at home.

I stayed up late last night, that’s why I was late.

2.“It’s +形容词+for/of sb. to do sth.”是固定结构，意为“做某事对某人来说是 It’s very nice of you to say so.

3.“特殊疑问句+选项”选择疑问句

Who do you think cleaned the classroom yesterday, Mary or Tina?
