篇二:英语作文 父亲的爱

父亲的爱

The only thing on my husband‘s description would be the word fun written in big red letters along the top. Although he is a selfless caregiver and provider, our children think of him more as a combination of a jungle gym and bozo and clown.

Our parenting styles compliment each other. His style is a nonstop adventure where no one has to worry about washing their hands, eating vegetables, or getting cavities. My style is similar to Mussolini. I‘m too busy worrying to be fun. Besides, every time I try, I am constantly outdone by my husband.I bought my children bubble gum flavored toothpaste and I taught them how to brush their teeth in tiny circles so they wouldn‘t get cavities. They thought it was neat until my husband taught them how to rinse by spitting out water between their two front teeth like a fountain.I took the children on a walk in the woods and, after two hours, I managed to corral a slow ladybug into my son‘s insect cage. I was cool until their father came home, spent two minutes in the backyard, and captured a beetle the size of a Chihuahua.

I try to tell myself I am a good parent even if my husband does things I can‘t do. I can make sure my children are safe, warm, and dry. I‘ll stand in line for five hours so the children can see Santa at the mall or be first in line to see the latest Disney movie. But I can‘t wire the VCR so my

children can watch their favorite video.I can carry my children in my arms when they are tired, tuck them into bed, and kiss them goodnight. But I can‘t flip them upside down so they can walk on the ceiling or prop them on my shoulders so they can see the moths flying inside of the light fixture.I can take them to doctor appointments, scout meetings, or field trips to the aquarium, but I‘ll never go into the wilderness, skewer a

worm on a hook, reel in a fish, and cook it over an open flame on a piece of tin foil.

I‘ll even sit in the first row of every Little League game and cheer until my throat is sore and my tonsils are raw, but I‘ll never teach my son how to hit a home run or slide into first base.

As a mother I can do a lot of things for my children, but no matter how hard I try--I can never be their father.

篇三:父母和孩子之间的理解 四级作文

Nowadays there is often a lack of un derstanding between parent and child. Parents often complain about their children"s "ueasonable" behavior, while children usually think their parents too "old-fashioned." Then, when a child has a problem, he usually goes to his intimate friends for sympathy and advice, leaving his parents totally in the dark.

There are some possible reasons for the present situation. First, the two generations, having grown up at different times, have different likes and dislikes for the things around them and thus have little in common to talk about. Second, parents and children, due to the misunder standing between them, may even feel it uncomfortable to sit face to face with each other talking. Finally, with the pace of modern life becoming faster and faster, both parent and child are too busy to spare enough time to exchange ideas, even if they find it necessary to communicate. As a result, the gap between them is growing wider and wider.

To bridge this so-called generationgap, in my opinion, both parent and child should make an effort. The children should respect their seniors. The older generation, on the other hand, should show solicitude for the young. As for their differences, both generations should make allowance for each other. If they will take the first step by actually talking to one another, it won"t be long before the arrival of a better understanding be tween parent and child.

Understanding between Parents and Children Nowadays, more and more parents pay great attention to their children. But when it comes to the topic of communication, most of them acknowledge the lack of it.

More than one reason contributes to the phenomenon. To begin with, the ever heavier social pressure on current parents makes them ignore their children. They have to work hard and spend less time with their children. The second, some of the parents know little about the skills of communication, nor the necessary knowledge of education, although they are eager to talk with their children. The most important reason may be the traditional

ideas of authority which most parents have when facing the children. Thus, they are not likely to communicate with each other as friends.

To sum up, in order to make a better atmosphere in which the children grow up, the parents should ensure the stability of the family and act as good friends to the children. Communicate frankly, and you will find the gap between parents and children diminishing. Understanding between Parents and Children

With the rapid development of science and technology, people’s living standard is improved dramatically. At the same time, more and more pressures are imposed on

people’s daily life. Then many parents can not take care of their children as well as before. It contributes to the phenomenon that there is little communication between most parents and their children.

Nowadays, because of the fierce competition, people must devote themselves to their work in order to keep their status or satisfying job. But it is at the cost of ignoring their children. Moreover, along with more and more entertainment devices — electronic game machine, television, computer — and so on, penetrating our life, the children’ s attention is attracted by them.

But how to change the unfavorable situation between parents and children? As far as I am concerned, parents should spend more time playing with children in any forms and

children should get more advice from their parents when they are in trouble. In a word, parents and children should take their efforts together to narrow the gap.
