Passage 3 清理海洋垃圾

Fishermen are joining a plan which uses fishing boats to help clear rubbish from the seas. The Fishing for Litter encourages fishermen to take back rubbish they catch while fishing.

Boats are provided with bags so that any waste they collect can be easily stored and left for collection on the land. The first boats to join the plan are the Leven Mor and The Kelly Emm. Mr. Scoullar, a government officer, said he hoped the Leven Mor and the Kelly Emm would be the first of many boats to take part in the plan. He said，“This plan has been very successful so far in other parts of Europe.”

Recent studies have found that about twenty thousand tones of rubbish, mainly plastics, is thrown into the North Sea alone every year. Of that ，70% lies on the sea bed, 10% floats on the surface and other part of rubbish is washed up on beaches.

When you are in foreign countries, good basic table manners are important because they make sure that both guests and hosts are comfortable at the table. Table manners are mostly common sense. Following these will carry you through most common situations.

1．Sit up straight. Try not to bend or lean back in your chair(even if you are playing cards and don't want your mates to see your hand)．
