Some of my students do have some problems in learning English. What are their problems? (watch the video clip)

Student A: We have started learning more and more about English grammar. I take grammar notes in every English class. I work very hard. But I find it very difficult to remember the notes and I can’t use them well either. What can I do?

Student B: I like watching English movies, but I don’t think it’s helpful to my English. Because the actors always speak so fast that I can’t follow them. So I end up in reading the subtitles. What should I do?

Student C: There are more and more English words. How can I remember them all?

Now you are good at finding problems. But how can they solve these problems? Can you give them some suggestions? Before we do that, I’d like to show you a passage written by another student of mine. She also had some of these problems when she started learning English. But she has solved them successfully. What are her problems and how did she solve them? Let’s read her passage and find out.

First, read the passage very quickly and find out what problems she had? You may circle her problems in the passage.

Scanning: listening/speaking/grammar

Her English has improved since she started doing something. How does her English
