Unit 3 I’m more outgoing than my sister. Section A (1a-2b) The part is from unit 3 of grade eight of Go For it. The topic of this unit is about comparing the personal traits. This unit is aimed at the comparative degrees of adjectives and adverbs. It’s close to our daily life. The class is the first period of this unit, it is important to introduce the concept of comparative concept of adjective and usage for later learning. All the activities are helpful to raise Ss’ learning interests. And these activities can give Ss listening, speaking and writing practice. At the same time, I’d like the Ss to set up a consciousness of “judging themselves and others correctly” through my teaching. It’s the basic for the students to learn the other contents of this unit, as well as unit 4. So it’s very important to learn this lesson well.
