Teaching aims(教学目标)

一、通过学习,掌握下列词汇:sour, customer,了解以下词汇:crispy, by mistake,by mistake 二、口、笔头掌握以下句型:

1. Potato chips were invented by mistake. 2. The customer was happy in the end. 3. They were invented in 1863.

4. George wanted to make the customer happy.

三、能用过去的被动语态(肯定、否定、及疑问句形式)熟练的谈论薯片的发明。 四、学会表达由于这些创造和发明对你的生活的帮助和对生活质量提高认识。

Teaching steps(教学步骤)

1. Warm-up and revision(课堂热身和复习) Greet the students.

Show Ss the pictures on the screen and get them to answer the question. What is the little dog eating? What does the big dog think of the ice cream? 教学设计说明:创设情景,导入新课。

2. Presentation

How do these things taste?

Ss learn some new words by talking about potato chips, lemons, cake and salted duck eggs.

Have a brainstorming by asking, Can you think of some fruit which is sweet/sour? What food is crispy/salty?

Then learn “costumer” by talking about three pictures.

3.Work on Section B 1a.

The words in the box describe how food can taste. Write them under the correct pictures. Some pictures have more than one word. 4. Work on 1b.

Task 1: Show the picture of potato chips and answer the questions: How do the potato chips taste? Do you like them?

Do you know how they were invented?
