1. How about you? 你呢？ How about 后面除了接名词，代词以外，还可以接动名词

例如：How about going for an outing? 去郊游怎么样？

How about playing soccer? 去踢足球怎么样？How about that? 怎么样？

Thanks sb. for sth. / doing sth. 谢谢某人做了某事

For后面接名词或动名词例如：Thank you for your kindness.Thank you for helping me.

I showed each student seven things, and asked them what they thought about each thing?

★①询问对某样事物的看法时：think of 和think about 可以替换。

e.g. What do you think of / about Mary’s singing? 你认为玛丽唱歌怎么样？

② think of 还可表示“想起，想要，记得，关心等…”

例如：I can’t think of her name at the moment.我一时想不起她的名字。

（这句话里的think of 如果换成think about 就不太合适了）

③think about 还可表示“考虑”e.g. I never think ab out getting married. 我从未想到结婚。

4．I can’t stand it我忍受不了它。

stand 有“站，坐落，坚持，经受，忍受”等多种意思。作“忍受”讲，后面还可以接动名词。

例如：The baby cannot stand yet. 这个婴儿还不能站立。

I can’t stand waiting any longer.再等下去我可受不了了。

5．I showed each student seven things ……我给每个学生看了七样东西。

这里show 是动词，表示“出示，给某人看”，常用句型show sb. sth. show sth. to sb.

talk show谈话节目这里show是名词，作为名词还有“展览，演出”的意思例如：Will you show me your passport? 把你的护照给我看看好么？

Are you going to the flower show? 你打算去看花展么？

6．I don’t mind them. 我不介意。【mind：mind doing sth. mind sth. / sb. 】例如： Would you mind my smoking here? 我在这里抽烟你不介意吧？

这是一个由that 引导的定语从句。情态动词can及其否定形式can’t后只能接动词原形，如要接形容词，

形容词前必须加be动词。

right这里是名词，表示“权利” 例如：What gives you the right to say that?

right 做形容词，最常用的含义是“正确的” 例如：What’s the right time?

▽too 与either的区别：too“也”，表示肯定意义，与肯定的表达方法连用；而either “也不”，表示否定意

义，与否定的表达方法连用。

9、★ a thirteen-year-old boy 一个十三岁的男孩

此结构中，①year用单数形式，且②用连字符，类似的结构还有：five-month-old baby 比较： He is a student. He is thirteen years old. He is a thirteen-year-old student.

cooking在这是动词+ing（动名词）形式，表示“做饭”这件事，类似的

例句还有：Studying is for students. Watching talk shows is very boring.

11、enjoy reading喜爱 / 享受阅读

enjoy 后面接名词、代词或动名词，注意与like / love用法的区别，

如：①I enjoy / like /love the movie.

②I enjoy / like / love watching the movie.

③但我们不能说：I enjoy to watch the movie. 只能说：I like / love to watch the movie.
