除……之外，还…… He likes soccer as well as basketball.

不但，而且 The teacher as well as his students was invited to the party

与……一样好 He speaks English as well as you .

三、归纳整理

1. People in cities around the world wear quite similar clothes.

be similar to …与…相似 Lucy is similar to her mother .

be similar in …在…方面相似

The two buildings are similar in size and shape.

2. the same as 意思为“和……一样”，反义短语为 different from

翻译：她的外套和我的一样。___________________________________

英语不同于汉语。_______________________________________ 3. as well as 意思为“除……之外（也），以及，不但……而且……”

如：每逢星期天，孩子们除打篮球外还踢足球。

注意： as well as 连接两个主语时，谓语动词的数与前面主语的数保持一致。

如： The teacher as well as his students _________invited to the party .

不但他的学生而且这位老师也应邀参加了约会。

此外， as well as 还有“与……同样好”的意思。
