单元教材分析:
本单元的话题是Height, Length and Weight.本课的教学重点是四会掌握形容词的比较级形式并能在情景中正确运用。四会掌握句型:How tall are you?I’m 164cm tall. You’ shorter than me. You’re 4cm taller than me.能询问、回答有关体重、身高、脚的大小尺寸、头发的长度等问题,并能正确书写相关句型。
单元目标:
1.知识目标:
(1)能听、说、读、写单词及短语:taller, stronger, older, younger, shorter, heavier, thinner, longer, bigger, smaller,句型:How tall are you? I’m 164 cm.You’re shorter than me. You’re 4cm taller than me .How heavy are you? I’m 48 kg. I’m thinner than you and shorter.
(2)能够听、说、读Part A、Part B 部分Let’s learn, Let’s talk中的单词和句子。
(3)了解Story time, Good to know等部分的内容。
(4)了解字母ei/ai/oi, p/b, t/d 在单词中的基本读音。
2.能力目标:
(1)能听懂会说认读本单元关于形容词比较级的单词。
(2)能听、说、读、写Let’s learn 中黑体部分的内容和Read and write 中要求的内容。
(3)能用目标语言完成本单元的任务型活动。
(4)能学说Chant 一首和Song 一首。
(5)了解ei/ai/oi, p/b, t/d 的发音特点,并能试着拼读简单的规则词。

第一课时
学习内容:A 部分Let’s learn, Let’s play, Let’s chant
学习目标:
1.知识目标:
(1)能够听、说、读、写形容词的比较形式:taller, stronger, older, younger 和shorter.
(2)能够用句型:I’m…cm tall. He/ She’s …cm tall. 描述自己和他人的身高。
2.能力目标:
能够用句型You’re taller than your brother. I’m older than you. 进行年龄和身高的比较。
3.情感目标:能够听懂教师的指令,按不同年龄、身高排队,并用所学语言进行表述。
学习重难点:
1.能够听、说、读、写A Let’s learn 部分五个形容词的比较级形式;并能用含有比较级的句型替换关键词进行问答。
2.能够听、说、读、写四会单词;并能根据某一情境使用含有形容词比较级的句型替换关键词进行问答。长度单位cm的完整形式centimeter的发音也是本课的教学难点。

小组学习、动作模仿法、讨论交流法
学具准备:
准备录音机、本课时的录音带、Let’s learn 的单词卡片、测量身高和体重的工具。

(1)Hello, boys and girls . Happy New Year. And nice to see you again. How are you? Now, after a term, I think you know much better about your teachers. Who’s you music teacher? What’s he/she like?
(2)学生用学过的形容词thin, short, tall, old, young, funny, strong, kind 来描述这位老师。She’tall\thin\strong…..
2、班级展示Presentation
(1) 师出示测身高与体重的量器,提问学生:How tall am I , do you know? Guess? 学生用句型Are you …cm tall? 来猜。师用up 和down 帮助学生猜出确切的数字。
(2)师请出猜中自己身高的学生,问:How tall are you?帮助他/她测量身高,然后师说:…is taller than me.或I’m taller than…来结束该游戏。
(3)板书测量的学生的身高,师尽量用手势帮助学生理解以下句子:A is tall. B is taller than A. C is taller than B. D is taller than C. 然后板书并领读tall-taller.
(4)师请出三名较强壮的学生模仿健美动作,并做比较说:You’re strong. He’s stronger than you. 并板书领读strong-stronger.
(5)师在黑板上列出家人的年龄,介绍说:My mother is 44, My father is 46. He is older than her. My aunt is younger than my father, but she is older than my mother. How old is she? 然后板书old—older 和young—younger .
(6)放Let’s learn部分的录音,学生听录音跟读。
(7) Let’s play 师贴出4-5个学生图像,描述各人情况,发指令:Line up from younger to older. Line up from shorter to shorter.
(8)Let’s chant. 放录音学生跟读。
3.质疑探究
老师询问看学生有何疑问,先让学生互助解决后老师做适当点拨。

(1)师拿出一个气球,请一名学生帮忙吹,“Please make it big.” 师带领全班学生跟随学生吹气球的节奏喊:Bigger, Bigger, Bigger!呈现该单词。然后师拿着已经吹大的气球,一点一点放出空气,说: Smaller, Smaller, Smaller!呈现并领读这两个单词。
(2)师拿出一段皮筋,一边拉长,一边说:longer, longer, longer! 接着慢慢放松皮筋说:shorter, shorter, shorter!然后呈现并领读这两个单词。
(3)师拿一叠作业本:I have many books. They are heavy. 师一本一本往上加时说:heavier, heavier, heavier! 领读该词,请学生再次确认从heavy 到heavier 的词尾变化。
(4)师简单介绍形容词的比较级第二种情况是以辅音字母加“Y”结尾的,要改“y”为“i” +er。
(5)师出示一组有强烈对比效果的图片,教学heavy, thin, thinner.师出示图片说:look , The boy is heavy. He wants to be thinner. So he does exercises everyday and eats less meat. He is thin after three months. He keeps doing exercises. He is thinner after another three months. 然后呈现thinner.
(6)简单介绍形容词的比较级第三种情况是以重读闭音节加一个辅音字母结尾的,要双写这个辅音字母再加“er”
(7)放录音,学生跟读单词,做let’s play单词游戏牢记单词。
(8)小组合作理解Story time内容。师适时点拨。

本单元的话题是Illness and Feelings,本课的教学重点是四会单词、短语have a fever,have a cold,have a toothache,have aheadache,have a sore throat,hurt, tired,angry,excited,happy,sad,bored以及四会句子What’s the matter? My throatis sore. My nose hurts. How are you, Liu Yun? You look so happy. How are you, Sarah? You look sad today.
单元目标:
1.知识目标:
(1)听、说、读、写A、B部分Let’s learn 和Let’s talk中的四会单词、短语和句子。
(2)听、说、认读A、B部分Let’s learn ,Let’s talk和Let’s read中的三会单词、短语和句子。
(3)理解并能根据提示操作Let’s start,Let’s play,Let’s sing,Let’s check 和Let’s c hant等部分的内容。
(4)了解Pronunciation部分中音标的音和形及字母组合在单词中的发音,并能正确读出例词。
(5)了解Story time, Task time和Good to know等部分的内容。
2.能力目标:
(1)能够正确询问他人的身体是否健康,心情是否愉快。如:What’s the matter?How do you feel?How does he feel?

1、复习导入Warm-up
(1)播放录音PEP4Unit6歌曲“My father is a doctor.”
(2)师生交流Greetings日常口语对话,复习职业单词。What’s your father/mother?生自由回答。
2、班级展示Presentation
(1)教师出示一支体温表,说:This is a thermometer. If I have a fever, it will tell me. Let’s see Mike. Mike doesn’t feel well. He has a fever.指着Let’s learn的图片的Mike,让学生看图片,教师做出各种表情,引导学生提问“What’s the matter?”,引出词组have a fever(出示体温计或在额头上捂湿毛巾),have atoothache(作牙疼状), hurt(在身体某一部位贴一块膏药), have a sore throat(咳嗽,说话沙哑),
have a cold(打喷嚏), have a headache(作头痛状)。
(2)播放录音,学生跟读单词。
(3)教师让学生读单词,叫到的同学,给他图片(have a fever),问他:“What’s the matter…?”引导学生说:I feel sick. I have a fever.解释sick单词。用同样的方法教授句型:What’s the matter…? 要求学生回答并做出相应的表情。可以让学生两个进行操练。
(4)“看病”游戏。.将学生分成六大组,每组选一张短语卡片。教师戴上医生的帽子提问:Cold, cold, who has a cold? 如第一组选中的是have a cold,这组学生就边做动作或表情边吟唱:Cold, cold, I have a cold.用同样的方法进行操练,各组调换卡片继续该活动。
(5)“敲敲打打”活动。教师将所学单词或短语写在黑板上,然后把学生分成两大组,每组派一名代表站到黑板前。教师说单词或短语,请学生敲击听到的单词或短语,谁敲得既对又快得一分,最后得分高的组获胜。
(6)放录音学生跟读。
3.质疑探究。
(1)你还有什么不明白,小组内没解决的问题吗?
(2)老师询问看学生有何疑问,先让学生互助解决后老师做适当点拨。

1、复习导入Warm-up
(1)播放Let’s chant的录音,边唱边表演。
(2)拼词比赛,复习上节课单词和短语,教师说单词,每组派一个学生到黑板上来写。看哪个组又快又对就获胜。
2、班级展示Presentation
(1)播放Let’s try的录音学生听音、看图、标号,然后校对答案。
(2)教师强调其中的重点句型,即Let’s talk部分将学习的主要句型。
(3)T:Your English is well. I feel very happy. How about you? How do you feel? 教师指导学生回答。学生询问自己“How do you feel?”同时做出生病的表情,自然呈现句子:I feel sick.
(4)教授单词sick.再次引导学生问:What’s the matter?教师继续表达,I have a sore throat.同桌操练。
(5)传话活动:教师将全班分成四组。游戏开始分别向队首轻轻讲两句如:How do you feel? I feel sick.各队依次往下传。队尾的学生把听到的句子大声说出来。看看哪队又快又对。
(6)播放Let’s t alk的录音,提问学生:How does Amy feel? What’s the matter with her? 引导学生听完录音后,回答。教师板书四会句子:What’s the matter? My throat is sore. My nose hurts.
(7)做Bingo的游戏:教师出示Pronunciation的挂图,带领学生认读音标和例词,指导学生归纳发音规律,帮完成Read and write部分的活动。
(8)活动名称:幸运搭档,两人一组。一人面向黑板,一人面向学生并根据看到的图片做出相应的动作。面向黑板的同学根据动作猜出单词或词组。在相同的时间内哪组说出的单词数量最多便被评为最佳搭档。

(1)学生读Let’s play的单词,解释新单词,如broken leg, earache, stomachache, sore nose.学生在有9个格子的纸张上写上这几个单词
