The most important thing you should know about the high jump is not to give up. You will be successful only by practicing. All your friends will be amazed at your performance. With a lot of hard work you can improve your jumps.

The first suggestion you should keep in mind is using a longer approach (助跑). This may cause the most common mistakes. You must be with at least 20 feet behind the bar (起跑线) for getting the time to make a better reaction.

Another important suggestion is to feel good with your running speed. Remember this is not a running competition. Try to make suitable for the speed to your body.
