主要科研领域与方向:

脊椎动物胚胎的分子发育生物学。主要利用斑马鱼做模式动物,分离克隆Nodal和FGF等信号通路的新的介导因子和调节因子,结合分子生物学、细胞生物学、遗传学等技术,研究它们在胚胎发育中的作用及其作用机制。利用诱变技术,鉴定影响早期胚胎发育的母源因子。

信号传导与细胞骨架:纤毛或真核生物的鞭毛是基于细胞微管的一种亚细胞结构。它不仅起着细胞运动的作用,它还参与动物的发育、细胞分裂和维持各种器官的正常生理功能。纤毛的缺陷会导致多种疾病诸如呼吸道疾病、肾囊肿,内脏转位,肥胖症等。我们利用模式生物衣藻为材料,采用分子生物学、生物化学、细胞生物学等手段,研究纤毛的形成、解聚机理,运动功能、信号传导及在细胞分裂中的调控作用。由于纤毛的高度保守性,我们的研究成果适用于动物细胞的纤毛。我们的发现将对纤毛相关疾病的发病机理的认识、诊断和治疗提供理论上的支撑。

微藻技术的开发和利用:进行微藻的培养,转基因技术和生物活性物质、生物再生能源的研究。

生物体蛋白质的 “ 转录 / 翻译 ” 与 “ 降解 ” 是同样重要的命题。人们在 “ 转录和翻译 ” 的研究中取得了众所周知的突破。可以预见, 对蛋白质是如何被特一性降解的研究, 必将对生命科学的发展产生重要影响。

孙方霖 教授,博士生导师,长江学者特聘教授,国家杰出青年科学基金获得者

教育工作经历

1968年出生于山东;1993年就读于英国剑桥大学并获博士学位;1997年在美国华盛顿大学(St. Louis)生物系从事博士后研究;2001受聘于瑞士Friedrich Miecher生物医学研究所担任研究组组长(助理教授);2005年入选清华大学“百人计划”,清华大学医学院担任教授、博士生导师; 2006年回国并获国家自然科学基金委的“国家杰出青年科学基金”;2007年被聘为教育部生命科学(表观遗传学)“长江学者”特聘教授。现担任清华大学医学院学术委员会主任,国家自然科学基金委员会表观遗传重大项目专家组成员(兼副组长)等。

实验室目前主要研究方向:

1)干细胞分化与个体生长发育的表观遗传学;2)癌症形成的表观遗传调控网络。研究采用的动物模型包括果蝇、小鼠及细胞模式系统(如干细胞和肿瘤细胞)。

自1993至今一直从事表观遗传学研究。研究成果分别在学术期刊包括Cell,Nature, Nature Genetics, Genes & Development和PNAS等杂志上发表(第一作者或通讯作者)。
