1. 结构：一些谓语动词（如live、stand、lie、rush等）完全置于主语之前 实质：表语或状语位于句首表示强调意义时和避免头重脚轻 2. 常见类型：

1) 表运动方向的方位副词或介词短语置于句首, 如in、out、up、down 等 Out rushed the child. In front of the hall sits a man.

2）地点副词置于句首， 如here、there等 Here comes the bus. There stands a girl.

3）时间副词或短语置于句首, 如then、now等

For a moment, nothing happened. Then came voices, all shouting together. 4）Such 置于句首，意为“这些”

In the distance was a small boat. Such were his last words. 3. 如果主语是代词, 仍用正常语序: Here you are.

1. 结构：把部分谓语动词（助动词、情态动词等）置于主语之前

2. 常见类型：

1) Only修饰的副词、介词短语或状语从句置于句首 Only in this way can we learn English well. Only when he returned did we find out the truth.

2) 否定副词如never、nor、hardly、seldom、scarcely、rarely等置于句首 Never before have I seen such a moving film.

9) 在虚拟结构中，条件从句的谓语含有were, had 和should这三个词是，可省去if，将这些词移至主语之前。

Had I time (= If I had time), I would go and help you. Were I you (= If I were you), I would go abroad.

提示： as / though引导的让步从句必须将表语、状语或动词原形提前 结构： 1. 形容词

名词(前无冠词） + as / though + 主语+be 分词 2.

副词 + as / though + 主语+谓语动词 3.

动词原形+ as / though + 主语+ 情态动词

示例：

1）Old as/though my father is, he keeps up with his English study. 2）Child as he is, he knows something of electricity. 3）Tired as he was, he continued to work.
