For me, 2019 was a milestone year, I was turning 70, and just as I was deciding how to celebrate, a brochure arrived from a senior’s travel company about a special tour of the UK and Ireland. It was perfect, as they were visiting the birthplace of my grandparents where I’d always longed to go.

The tour started off well in London. However, the next morning I began to feel unwell during the tour and was admitted to Warwick Hospital. On regaining consciousness two days later I realized with horror that the tour had gone ahead, leaving me alone and barely able to function, surrounded by strangers thousands of kilometers from in a country where no one can be contacted for help.

As I stared across the room, another patient and her male visitor smiled. Introducing themselves as Sue and Roger, they said they had been told of my troubles, and offered to contact my relatives in Australia. Ten days later, I was discharged but was still too weak to travel. Sue and Roger suggested I stay at the Falcon Hotel. Each morning they came with magazines, books and special treats. I then spoke of a friend in New Zealand who also over the years had been to my home to listen, advise and assist whenever needed and I explained he was a famous retired surgeon in Auckland and I told them more information about him. Yelp, the San Francisco Internet company that makes reviews of restaurants and other businesses across a large part of America, is getting into the food delivery business.

Today, the company has announced that it has agreed to acquire Eat24, a food company that delivers food to homes on behalf of partner restaurants. Yelp is paying $134 million for the company—$75 million in cash and the rest in stock. Eat24 works with 20,000 restaurants in more than 1,500 cities all over the U.S.

On Yelp's reviews site, you can find new restaurants to suit your tastes, and now that the company is acquiring Eat24, the idea is that it will also let you take the next step: order food to your door.

attitude of it. towards/to 写作范文: .Dear Andrew,

How nice to hear from you again! I think it is natural for you not to get used to the life there. Here I have some suggestions for you .

First of all, you should respect the local customs there and try to involve yourself in the natives’ lives. Just as the saying goes, “When in Rome, do as the Romans do.” Secondly, don’t be afraid to communicate with American students and make friends with them. Friendship will bring you happiness. What’s more, it is better for you to join in more outdoor activities with your friends, which may help you relax and have fun. Finally, mind your own manners and remain modest and honest when getting along with your friends.

I do hope my proposals will help. May you adapt to your new life and enjoy your stay there.

Best wishes! Yours, Li Hua
