摘 要

当今世界，随着科技的进步和多媒体的繁荣，各种外国电影涌入中国市场。电影的字幕翻译是外国优秀电影进入中国市场的前提和关键，其字幕翻译中扮演重要角色，不仅帮助观众欣赏电影，而且让他们能更好地了解外国风俗人情。因此，近年来人们对电量字幕翻译的要求越来越高，电影字幕翻译成为翻译领域研究和实践不可或缺的一部分。功夫熊猫系列口碑、票房相当好，该系列传统的中国风，幽默的人物对白吸引了全球观众的眼球。译者面临着如何将源语信息简洁准确传递问题，同时又不能改变源语的风格。文章把尤金·奈达的功能对等理论作为理论基础，并分析功夫熊猫2的源语特点和目标语的翻译特点。文章通过例证分析对功夫熊猫翻译中所达到的功能对等效果，并通过一系列研究，论文在此基础上得出相应的结论和方法来解决电影字幕翻译中存在的一系列问题，为后面更多学者的研究提供有用的资料和帮助。

A Study on Subtitle Translation of Kung Fu Panda

from the Perspective of Functional Equivalence

ABSTRACT

With the prosperity of mass media, a growing number of foreign films have flooded into the flourishing Chinese film market. Film's subtitle translation is the prerequisites for excellent foreign films to enter the China market and it plays a significant role in people’s appreciating it, moreover helping the audience learning some information and cultures from different countries. Hence, the demand of high quality of subtitle translation increases recently, subtitle translation has become an indispensible field of translation practice and study. Kung Fu Panda series are pretty popular, theirs traditional China style, humorous dialogues between characters catch the eyes of audiences all over the world. What the translators are now confronted with is how to transfer the source language concisely and exactly, and at the same time also to keep similar style of SL. This paper applies Nida's functional equivalence theory as a theoretical foundation, and analyzes the features of SL and TL of Kung Fu Panda. Through case study of in Kung Fu Panda, this paper analyses its translation strategies in accordance with functional equivalence theory, this thesis makes a series of analysis and gets better answers to tackle some problems of subtitle translation on the basis of Nida's functional equivalence theory, and offers help to other scholars and amateurs with their subtitle translation study in the future
