STEP 10A - ADD A NEW TASK SEQUENCE FOR DUAL PARTION DEPLOYMENT

Right Click on Task Sequence and select New Task Sequence

FOLLOW THE SAME PROCEDURE AS STEP 10 AND ADD A NEW TASK SEQUENCE FOR A DUAL PARTION DEPLOYMENT. I HAVE CALLED THIS “Deploy Asiapac SOEv2 Dual Partition”

Once the new task Sequence is created please follow steps 11 and 11A to customise the Task Sequence.

STEP 11 – CUSTOMISE TASK SEQUENCE

We will need to modify the task sequence and add a custom line to point to the specific Make and Model folder for driver injection.

Right Click on the Task Sequence Script “Deploy Asiapac SOEv2 Dual Partition” and select Properties

Click on the Task Sequence Tab

Expand the Preinstall Folder and Place your Cursor on Enable BitLocker(offline)

Click on Add >> General >>Set Task Sequence Variable

Enter the Details as per below screen ( If you have setup the driver folders differently you will need to specify this correctly) If you have used our naming convention then this value will be exactly as defined below.

Name : Inject Drivers By make & Model

Description : Inject Drivers By make & Model

Task Sequence : DriverGroup001

Value : Windows7\x64\%make%\%model%

Click Apply >> OK

Right Click again on the same Task Sequence and select properties. Click on the Task Sequence Tab

Ensure the Inject Driver By Make & Model is inserted above the Inject Driver Line.

Right Click On the Inject Driver and Select “Nothing” from the drop down list under Choose a selection profile Click Apply >> OK

STEP 11A – NOW CUSTOMISE TASK SEQUENCE FOR DUAL PARTION

Please Complete Step 11 Before Customising Task Sequence For Dual Partition.

Right click on task sequence for DUAL PARTION then select properties

Click on the Task Sequence Tab

Expand Preinstall then Expand New computer only then select Format and Partition disk

Select & Delete this partition by clicking X button at right side click on yes when asking for confirmation

Click on the star like icon to create new partition

Type Partition Name | Partition Type | Partition Size | Select Make This A Boot Partition For C Drive

AGAIN CLICK STAR ICON TO CREATE ANOTHER PARTITION SPECIFY PARTITION NAME AND USE A PERCENTAGE OF REMAINING DISK SPACE

(Select 100% if you want to use all remaining disk space, it’s the percentage of remaining

disk space)

Now we have two partitions when we deploy our Task Sequence “Deploy Asiapac SOEv2 Dual Partition” it will automatically create two partitions one with 50GB and the Second Partition with the remaining capacity.

You can choose a smaller C DRIVE, however ensure that it is not smaller than the SOEv2 Image itself.
