Swiss scientists did a study on 250 different animals. They found that the animals' sleeping postures(姿势)had something to do with their body size and weight.

The small animal with short legs sleeps on its stomach. Its body shape is perfect for this posture. It also likes to put its legs under its body. Rabbits and cats sleep this way.

But larger animals sleep differently. 2. They lie on their sides. That's because this is more comfortable for their

longer legs. Cows often sleep like this.

However, there are exceptions(例外). Small animals such as mice sometimes sit down to take a short sleep. Some large animals such as horses, zebras and giraffes sleep standing up. 3. In this way, they can quickly escape if they are in danger.

I plan to listen to English news and read English newspapers every day. In addition, I am going to learn new words as much as possible and keep diaries in English.

102.例文:

These days, some cities worked out a plan about a "2. 5-day weekend". In that way, people will have an extra half-day off every Friday afternoon. I think it's a good way for us to balance schoolwork and free time.

First, if we have an extra half-day off, we can spend more time taking a trip in the city nearby. That will help us to be more energetic. Also, at weekends, we will leave more time for hobbies and interests. Besides, we will not be as busy as before and we will have a good rest.

I hope we will have a weekend like this, too. I can't wait!
