examples from your actual work environment;

5. Providing support/evidence to your conclusions with both quantitative calculations (if applicable)

and qualitative arguments, and demonstrating wherever appropriate that the pros and cons of different options have been adequately explored;

6. Supporting the answers with research and reference to literature;

7. Demonstrating understanding and ability in applying relevant models and concepts taught and

discussed in the module;

8. Clarity in writing and the ability to present points of view in an analytical, logical and coherent

manner.

本作业目的在于：

请学员不要：

? 花过多笔墨于公司介绍。学员可在报告中简介公司，并在附录中加上公司小册子。 ? 简单描述问题，没有引用适当理论、模型和概念。学员应把重点放在“分析”问题上。 ? 纯粹倚靠网络资源。学员应在报告中引用适当书籍及期刊文章举例证明其作业。

GUIDANCE

This assignment is designed to

? Test your knowledge and application of subject at Level 7.

? Test your ability to identify the reasons of problems caused in a complex economic

environment.

? Test your ability to identify and use appropriate theories, models and concepts to analyse the

impact(s) of economic issue(s) on operations of an organisation.

? Develop your ability to provide effective recommendations by integrating theory with practice. The issue you select can cover anything facing your company at the present time. In order to maintain commercial confidentiality in the report, you may give the companies and individuals pseudonyms. You should identify your position in the organisation.

DO NOT

? Spend too much time describing your organisation. You might consider a brief introduction in

the report, then adding a company brochure in the appendix.

? Simply describe the problem without reference to appropriate theories, models and concepts.

Remember that you are asked to ?analyse?.

? Rely on Internet sources. You are expected to use appropriate books and journal articles to

illustrate your work.

? Submit ANYTHING OTHER THAN YOUR OWN WORK. If there is any reason to suspect the

originality of your work you WILL be called to attend a viva voce.

YOU SHOULD

? Make reference to at least 10 reliable literature sources to enhance your answer. ? Use the Harvard Referencing System correctly (see Appendix 1).

? Use the chosen literature to explain aspects of the problem and to support your contentions

and recommendations.

? Structure your report so that each task is addressed in turn. Use appropriate sub-headings to

make your work logical and easy to read.

? Remember that this is work at Masters Level. The level descriptors have been attached for

your reference (see Appendix 2).
