On Wednesday afternoon we, in our classroom, held a class meeting on the theme of focusing on mental health of middle school students, and all the classmates together with our head teacher and our psychology teacher attended the meeting. At the meeting,

we discussed some mental problems, which mainly referred not only to exam anxiety, wayward behavior and violent temper all leading to students’ unwillingness to communicate with others, but also to turning a deaf ear to their parents or teachers in the adolescent treachery period. A boy quarreled with his parents and left home. After years of hard life, he wrote a letter to his father, asking if he would welcome him back. In fact, his parents had been whole-heartedly expecting his return!

I am deeply moved by the story. And it reminds me of my father.

At my junior school, my father never showed his love to me, so I thought he did not love me and sometimes I was upset about it. However, when I left home for senior school, he called me frequently and just asked me, “How’s your study and life? When will you come back?” Gradually, I realized that he missed me although he would never say it out.

Indeed, fathers’ love is like a mountain. It’s heavy because they devote all their love to us and it’s silent because they do not know how to express it. Faced with their love, we should accept it silently to show our appreciation.

On 9th, March, we had a heated discussion on natural disasters in our class meeting, with the whole class and our head teacher taking part in. From the discussion, we realize that in the last decade, floods, earthquakes, typhoons, tsunamis and forest fires have become common things, resulting in millions of deaths and severe destruction of rich lands. What shocks us is that it is human behaviors that have brought along many of these natural disasters. Climates have greatly changed because people cut down too many trees in the forests and the environment has been badly polluted. Therefore, it is high time for us to protect the earth to make it a lovely place that is suitable to live in.
