Dale Carnegie

Dale Breckenridge Carnegie(18881955)was an American writer, lecturer, and the developer of famous courses in self-improvement, salesmanship, corporate training , public speaking ,and interpersonal skills. Born in poverty on a farm in Missouri, he was the author of How to wan Friends and Influence People(1936) , a massive bestseller that remains popular today. He also wrote How to Stop Worrying and Start Living(1984), Lincoln the Unknown(1932), and several other books.

Structure

The writer points out in the opening paragraph the uselessness and danger of criticism . Much of the space in the body part is devoted to example , both positive and negative , of how some well-known people leaned to handle people. In the concluding

paragraphs , the writer urges readers to understand people instead of critizing , condemning and complaining.
