How to live a healthy lifestyle

Healthy lifestyle is so crucial to our lives that if we do not live healthy, everything else in life loses its importance. We may have many expensive things at our disposal, but if we have unhealthy lifestyle, we may not be able to enjoy the goodness that life offers to us. How we live has a direct implication on our health. And in turn, it decides the level of happiness in our lives. Many times, we do not realize about our unhealthy ways till some undesired effects start showing up. Having an extravagant (过度的,过分的) lavish (非常浪费的) lifestyle or mere a simple living is not enough, it has to be healthy. However the modern ways of living are taking us away from healthy lifestyles. Keeping the importance of healthy lifestyle in view, we suggest some ways that leads to healthy lifestyle.

Get active

This is the primary and the most vital aspect of a healthy lifestyle. Being active is a sure-fire way to remain healthy. Remain physically active. Walk, run, play, swim, climb, jump… do all those activities that will keep you physically fit. Avoid using vehicles as much as you can.

If your job requires long hours of sitting, take frequent breaks, get up often and stretch. Do not let laziness shroud(覆盖) your body and mind. Clean house, do gardening, go cycling…there are various simple active ways to lead a healthy lifestyle.

However, your activeness should not end only at physical level. Be active on social front,

at your workplace, around your neighborhood and wherever possible. Seek active participation in whatever is happening around you and concerns you. Sedentary(不爱活动的) lifestyle is a slow poison. It junks not only your body but mind as well.

Keep clean

As a common saying goes, cleanliness is next to godliness. Maybe! But it certainly can induce (引起) healthiness around you. Keep your surroundings clean. Cleanliness can create a healthy and positive ambience that is so very essential to a healthy lifestyle. Neat and well organized places are conducive to healthy mind and body; and in turn to a healthy lifestyle. Unclean and untidy place can not only irritate (使感到不适) you but can make you sick. It represents unhealthy mindset.

Cleanliness also means doing away with unnecessary things that we keep storing at our home, office or mind. Filter out (滤除) crap from the cream for healthy lifestyle.

Eat healthy

What you eat has a direct bearing on your body and mind. The food served on your platter is indicative of your lifestyle. The healthier the food, the healthier will be your lifestyle. Healthy and delicious food can rejuvenate (使恢复活力) and rejoice(使高兴) you. Healthy and nutritious food is a prerequisite (先决条件) of healthy lifestyle.

Our physical and psychological constitutions are dependent on our food intake. Any compromise on that results in unhealthy body or restless mind. If you are into junk food and unhealthy eating binges, you are incurring risk on your health. Prefer well cocked food that includes most of the healthy ingredients and nutrients.

Think positive

After seeking external components for healthy lifestyle, if your mind cannot think positive and healthy, it can spoil the broth(培养基). Think positive and watch out for any negative connotation(内涵). Correct your negative thinking patterns. Opt to (选择) remain healthy and happy.

Do not search all around for unhealthy excuses. It’s all in your mind. A healthy and positive mind shall alert you if you are making an unhealthy choice. Healthy mind is an imperative for healthy lifestyle.

Live Natural

This is probably the easiest way to live a healthy lifestyle. Be amidst nature as much as you can. Be around trees. Plant trees around your residence. Avoid usage of materials that are hazardous(有危险的) to the environment.

This includes plastics, chemicals and other artificial paraphernalia(装备). Natural lifestyle is healthy lifestyle. Avoid usage of things that are eco-hazardous and create unhealthy wastage(废物). Preserve our nature and nature will preserve us.

Only nature can support a healthy lifestyle. It must be clear from the above that to live a healthy lifestyle is neither impossible nor difficult. All it takes is setting our priorities(优先考
