INTRODUCTION规划背景

The Suzhou Baiyangwan Logistic Park

(SBLP) development is aspired to be the

leading logistic park in Suzhou. It will be developed as

one of the fully integrated logistic park in the nation

as well with a state-of-the-art infrastructure and

management system under one roof.

According to the observers in world economy, freight

and logistics business are classified as “emerging

industry” which greater development potential has yet

In addition, we have formulated vision, objectives and

strategies in which will provide a framework for issues

related to infrastructure investment, management and

policy over a 15 to 20-year horizon.

City of Suzhou is within the Greater Shanghai Metropolitan Area (GSMA). It is also within the North Wing of

the (GSMA). In addition, Suzhou is also within the Yangtze River development corridor.

The city is approximately 45 minutes from Shanghai and approximately 2-hour from Nanjing. The City is

also situated at the cross-road of the two major cities. Table below summarizes the land area, population

and number of cities, GDP and important features for cities within the North Wing Growth Corridor.

City of Suzhou administers approximately 8,488.42

square kilometers of land. Cities (district level)

currently under the city of Suzhou jurisdiction are

Changshu, Zhangjiagang, Kunshan, Wujiang and

Taicang. The city is pided into five clusters namely

Old City, Suzhou Xinqu, Industrial Park, Wuzhong

District, Xiangcheng District and surrounding towns

with specified functions assigned. Buffer areas are

earmarked in between cluster to provide better use

allocation.

We have adopted a holistic methodology in the planning and design of the SBLP. There are four core

elements in our approach. First: the client’s requirements and expectations. Second: the understanding

of the site. Third: overall logistic park structure analysis of the City of Suzhou and Fourth: domestic and

international benchmarking.
