The newest amusement park in China, Shanghai Disneyland, has opened. And so, the competition between it and Nanchang Wanda Park begins. The Dalian Wanda Group company operates Nanchang Wanda Park. It opened at the end of May. Nanchang and Shanghai are about 600 hundred kilometers apart.

Both parks are large. Nanchang Wanda covers about 200 hectares(公顷). Shanghai Disney is about twice that. But its admission price is also twice as high.

The Wanda park says it has the largest roller coaster(过山车)in China. Both parks also have restaurants, hotels, shopping and live entertainment.

Richard Huang reports on China’s entertainment industry. He said there is room in the Chines market for both Disney and Wanda to be successful.

Tourism is a $600 billion industry in China. Government officials expect that amount to double in four years.

The competition has already caused disagreement between the companies. When Nanchang Wanda opened last month, workers dressed as Disney characters performed at the park. Disney later warned that it is prepared to take action to protect the company’s property rights.

Amusement park business experts say the companies need to win the support of China’s young people. Tiger Zou is a partner at a Chinese entertainment consulting business. He said, “... Disney has been increasing in influence with its success in the movie industry with films. This success... has helped Disney to earn its position with younger children.”

Elliott Weiss is a professor at the University of Virginia. He praises the park’s placement. Weiss said there are 330 million people within a three-hour drive from Shanghai Disneyland.

Both companies expect growth in China’s economy. Disney expects 15 to 30 million visitors a year to its park. The Dalian Wanda group plans to open 15 theme parks and other sites for entertainment during the next four years.

24. Shanghai Disneyland _____.

A. opened earlier than Nanchang Wanda Park

B. covers about 400 hectares in all

C. is as high as Nanchang Wanda Park in price D. has the largest roller coaster in China 25. Richard Huang thinks _____.

A. both parks have the chance to be successful B. Shanghai Disneyland has more advantages C. Nanchang Wanda Park has more market room D. both parks are faced with tough situations

26. What made Shanghai Disneyland blame Nanchang Wanda Park? A. It is not far away from Shanghai Disneyland. B. It has won the support of China’s young people. C. It put on the performances about Disney characters.

D. It has competitions and disagreements with Shanghai Disneyland. 27. Tiger Zou thinks _____helped Shanghai Disneyland a lot. A. its movie industry

B. its good placement C. government officials

What's more exciting than having a fresh hot pizza delivered to your door? How about having it brought to you by a robot? Thanks to Domino's Robotic Unit, that just became a reality. On March 8, the three-foot tall robot made its first delivery to some lucky residents in Brisbane, Australia.

The autonomous DRU is the result of a cooperation between Domino's Pizza Australia and Marathon Robotics. The machine can cover a distance of up to 12 miles and back before requiring a battery recharge. Equipped with Google Maps and CPS guidance, DRU can go along bike paths and sidewalks and also find the most efficient way to its destination. LIDAR, a laser-based sensor technology similar to the one used in self-driving cars, enables DRU to detect and avoid obstacles, while traditional sensors ensure its path to its destination is safe. DRU's plastic shell protects the food from the bad weather, while its aluminum and steel container ensures that the pies remain hot.

The robot can fit up to ten pizzas and even has a separate cold area to accommodate drink orders. To access their fond, customers have to enter the unique code provided by the company. This is not only ensures that they pick up the right pizza, but also prevents the pies from getting stolen.

Domino's experts additional DRU to be ready for service in its various Queensland locations within the next six months. But don't expect these super cute robots to replace humans anytime soon. According to Domino's, the DRU still needs much testing, which the company believes could take up to two years. There is also the issue of regulations. The public use of autonomous vehicles is still banned in most countries. But Don Meij, the CEO of Domino's Pima, is not worried. He believes that one day DRU will become a necessary part of the Domino's family. 28. What's the function of LIDAR?

A. Helping DRU find its destination. B. Recharging DRU's battery.

C. Keeping DRU free of obstacles. D. Protecting DRU from bad weather.

29. What does the underlined word “accommodate” in Paragraph 3 probably mean? A. Hold. B. Heat. C. Sell. D. Show. 30. Why does the company provide codes for its customers? A. To fit up more pizzas. B. To get the pizza paid in time. C. To keep the pizza warm. D. To prevent the pizza being taken by mistake. 31. What can we infer about the future of DRU? A. It may be banned in Australia. B. It will replace humans soon. C. It may need some improvements. D. It will soon be applied worldwide.

Dealing with depression

Depression consumes your energy, hope and drive, making it difficult for you to feel better. 36 The key is to start small and build from there. Feeling better takes time, but you can get there if you make positive choices for yourself each day. Exposed yourself to sunlight every day.

Lack of sunlight makes depression worse. 37 Take a short walk outdoors, have your coffee outside, enjoy a delicious meal, watch people on a park bench, or sit out in the garden. Aim for at least 15 minutes of sunlight a day to improve your mood. If you live somewhere with little winter sunshine, try using a light therapy box. Keep stress in check.

Not only does stress extend and worsen depression, but it can also cause it. 38 Examples include: work overload, taking on too much, or health problems. Once you've identified the causes, you can make a plan to avoid them or reduce their influence. Practice relaxation techniques.

Daily relaxation practice can help relieve symptoms of depression, reduce stress, and promote feelings of joy and well-being. 39

Turn to trusted friends and family members.

Share what you're going through with people you love and trust. 40 You may have got away from your most treasured relationships, but they can get you through this tough time.

A. Make sure you're getting enough. B. Ask for the help and support you need. C. Figure out things in your life that stress you out. D. You will become more confident by helping those in need. E. Try deep breath, progressive body relaxation or thinking in silence.
