Everyone around me says my father and I are alike and have the similar personality.It's true that I have much in common with my father,for I have been greatly influenced by him in my life.

Father always offered his love and care to others,which had great influence on me.Father was also honest,who is my idol.Besides,father never gave up anytime,which told me to be strong,when facing difficulties. I love my father,a man who has had greatest influence on me in my life.

2. Some people believe that “All great journeys start with a dream”. Do you agree? What is your individual dream? What will you do to make your dreams come true? (Unit 4, Book 1)

I believe that all our dreams can come true if we have

courage to pursue them .I want to be a teacher. I think teachers are the most important people in our live.They teach us knowledge.They help us with our study.They give us confidence.To be a teacher. I’ll work hard from now on and get good grades in my study.I won’t give up.I think it will come true soon.

3. How do you understand George Bernard Shaw’s (萧伯纳) quotation “Nothing makes a man so selfish as work”? What suggestions can you give to the workaholics? What should we do to maintain a proper balance between work and life? (Unit 5, Book 1)

He think that work is the most important thing in his life.Many people

become workaholics, chasing success and often neglecting their

healthy.Make it a point to get at least eight hours of sleep and plenty of rest.Our bodies need to be conditioned, and working non-stop isn't going to give it the proper physical conditioning it needs.And it's even more important that you get some exercise.

4. Do you agree that love needs testing? Give your reasons. How to maintain true and ever-lasting love? (Unit 6, Book 1)

I don't agree with this opinion.I personally think that as you love someone, you love him with your whole heart. And you should trust him and you should believe the relationship between yours. So the testing maybe make him disappointed.If my boyfriend try to test me，I will broke up with him. In my opinion,to maintain the love,both you and your lover should be at the same level.The one who loves more,always pays more and loses more.Lose our most important personality,that is independence.both the lovers should respect and accept each other sincerely .

5. Why do people keep pets? Have you had the experience of raising any pets? Please share your story with your partners. (Unit 7, Book 1) With the increasing improvement of our life,many people have developed the fever of keeping pets.For one thing,pets provide company for us and pets make us happy .I have no experience of raising pets.Because my parents can't be ignored them .They can't stand that the pets make a mess of the room.Ummmm....In many public places pets should be forbidden to enter in case the spread disease and interfere with other people.and for me，I really want to raise a cat.
