[题型技法] (学一学)

推荐信是写给单位、学校等介绍或说明应聘或求学人员情况或事物的信件，其格式比较正规，用语也很正式。

[典例] (2014·浙江高考)学校图书馆需要购置一批新书， 现向学生征求意见。假如你是李越，你认为学校图书馆最需要购置科普类图书(popular science books)和文学类图书(literary books)。请你用英语给图书馆王老师写一封100－120个词的信，推荐这两类书，并分别说明推荐理由。

注意：信的抬头与落款已给出(不计入词数)。 Dear Mr. Wang，

[满分范文] Dear Mr. Wang，

①As far as I know, our school library plans to buy some books. ②What I’m writing for is to suggest buying popular science books and literary books.

②此处是what引导的主语从句，what ... for表示目的；另外此句点明写信目的(推荐图书)，总领全文。可以看出考生独具匠心之处。

③not only引导的部分倒装结构，强调推荐科普类图书的理由。

⑤apart from这一高级短语使用非常贴切，同时起到过渡作用，引起下文——推荐文学类图书的理由，突显该考生的英语语言实际运用能力。

⑦此句使用了一个比较级的固定句型结构“the＋比较级．..，the＋比较级．..”，强调阅读较多文学类图书对提高写作技能的重要性。

⑧这是一个表达感谢的委婉句型结构，很有礼貌地希望对方能采纳他的建议。 [增分佳句] (背一背) 1．开头部分常用语：

(1)In addition to her excellence in academic study, she also performs very well in her job.

她除在专业学习方面优秀外，在工作中她也表现很好。

(2)She also performed well in other courses, ranking top in her class. 在其他课程中，她也表现突出，在班上名列前茅。

(3)He is very intelligent, honest, creative, and very easy to get on with. 他很聪明、诚实、富有创造性，而且很容易相处。 3．结尾部分常用语：

(1)I would be most grateful if you could lend due attention to this letter and contact me at ...
