Teacher greets students with everyday English. (T: teacher; Ss: students) T: Good morning, boys and girls! Ss: Good morning, East!

Task Two: Duty report

1. There is going to be a daily show.

2. There are some questions for other Ss according to the show. 3. To ask some Ss to make a comment on their performance.

Task Three: Lesson 3

Step One: Learning objectives 1. Be able to listen and understand this passage. 2. Be able to imitate and read this passage. 3. Be able to summarize and retell the story. Step Two: Preview check 1. T asks Ss to finish the exercise on page 1 of Ss’ guidance book. 2. T checks the answers.

3. T asks Ss to read the new words and expressions.

Step Three: Lead in

Picture description: To show some pictures in Lesson 3 and ask some Ss to talk about them. 1. What can you see in these pictures?

2. Can you guess what happened in these pictures? 3. Can you make up a story? Step Four: Listening

1. To finish part 1 of listening practice on page 2 of Ss’ guidance book. 2. To ask Ss to give their answers. 3. To check the answers.

Step Four: Reading comprehension

1. T asks Ss to finish reading comprehension on page 2 of Ss’ guidance book. 2. T asks Ss to discuss their answers with other members in each group. 3. T asks each group to write down their answers on the small black board.

4. T asks some of the groups to share their answers with the rest of group on the platform. Step Five: listen and imitate

Step One Revision

1. T asks Ss to read Lesson 1 together. 2. T asks Ss to read Lesson 1 dramatically. Step Two Reading competition 1. Group work: To hold a competition between groups. ―Which group reads better?‖

1. There is going to be a talk show prepared by one of the eight groups every day. 2. There are some questions for other Ss according to the talk show. 3. Ask Ss make a comment on their talk show.

Task Three: Research

Step One: Questions and answers

1. T asks Ss to study this text by themselves and make note of what they can’t understand. 2. T asks Ss to discuss their questions with other members in their own group.

3. T asks Ss to raise questions to others if their problems can’t be solved in their own group. Step Two: Key phrases in the text 1. T asks Ss to write down the phrases on the small blackboard. 2. T asks Ss to show their phrases to other students on the platform.

3. T checks the right answers and asks some Ss to make sentences by using these phrases. Step Three: Sentence understanding

1. T asks Ss to discuss the meaning and use of the following phrases:

Warm-up questions :

1.Do you often go to the cinema ? Why ? Which cinema do you like to go ?

Today we are going to learn a story happened in cinema. Ask two questions to attract students’ attention to the topic 2. Why is it a private conversation ?

3. Why did the writer complain to the people behind him ?

Let students dragon to read the passage and underline the new words while reading.

Teacher write down the new words on board and ask students to guess the meaning according to the context. For some words, teacher will add English explanations.

Compare the result with New words and expressions Teacher leads the students to read the new words. Ask students to make sentences with the new words.
