Step1. Warming up(10 minutes)
1. Appreciation

T: Plays the song “Weeding Dash”.
T: Appreciate a beautiful song .After that, please tell me what you heard and guess what our topic is. Ss: Students will give all kinds of answers.
T: You may heard this song for so many times from the TV video, or in our daily life. The song has been named “Wedding Dash”. Well, as you say, today, our topic is “Weddings” 2. Discussion
T: Teacher will ask the following questions about weddings to lead into the topic.
Have you ever been to a wedding party? Who got married? 3. Extention
T: Present the vow at the wedding to arouse students’interest of talking about the weddings and have a deeper understanding about wedding in western countries. Do you know the meaning of the vow?

Step2. Learning the new words(10 minutes)
1. Present key words
T: Show some pictures with the key words : bride ,bridegroom,

best man, ceremony, entrance, wedding reception, and lead students to read them. 2. Practice (Do the exercise2.) T: Present the word matching.
Ss: Match the new words with the definitions. 3. Review
T: In order to consolidate new words teacher give pictures again and review the new words.
Step3.Reading(15 minutes)
1. Appreciation
T: I will show you some pictures of Indonesian Weddings and Greek Weddings. Ss: enjoy the pictures. 2. Skimming
T: Wedding customs are different in different countries. Now we will read two articles about Indonesia Weddings and Greek weddings. Try to read fast and remember what to do and what not to do in Indonesia Weddings, and tell me what happens before, during and after Greek Weddings.
.(give students time to read the text) Ss: Skim the two articles.
T: Now please tell me during Indonesia weddings, what to do and

what not to do. When you answer my questions, please use these sentence patterns: have to / not have to, can/can’t, should/ shouldn’t. We have learned these patterns in junior school, so I just give you an example. eg. I can go without an invitation.
S1: I can attend the reception after the ceremony.
S2: You oughtn’t to go to the ceremony without asking first. S3: ?
T: Well done. Thank you. Now, let’s look at the screen to see
what to do and what not to do during Indonesia Weddings... T: Showing what to do and what not to do during the Indonesia
weddings.
T: Now, please give information about what happens before, during and after the wedding. S1: Before the wedding ceremony,
the bridegroom has to ask the bride’s father for his daughter’s hand in marriage.
S2: During the wedding ceremony, a long silk ribbon that links the crowns is a symbol of a long and happy life for the couple. S3: ?
