All the children in the United States have to receive an education, but the law does not say they have to be educated at school. A number of parents prefer not to send their children to school. Children who are educated at home are known as “home-schoolers”. There are about 300000 home-schoolers in the United States today. Some parents prefer teaching their children at home because they do not believe that public schools teach the correct religious values(价值) ；others believe they can provide a better educational experience for their children by teaching them at home. Interestingly, results show that home-schooled children quite often do better than average (平均)on national tests in reading and math. Home-schooling is often more interesting than ordinary schools, but critics（批评家）say that home-schoolers are outsiders who might be uncomfortable mixing with other people in adult life. Critics also say that most parents are not well qualified(有资格的) to teach their children. However, most parents don’t have the time or the desire to teach their children at home. Once a circle lost a piece of its own. The circle wanted to be whole, so it went around looking for its missing piece. But because it was incomplete (不完整的) , it could only roll (滚动) very slowly. It enjoyed the flowers and the sunshine along the way. It talked with worms. It found lots of different pieces, but none of them fit. Sometimes we are perfect when we lose something. A man who has everything is a poor man in some ways. He will never have hopes, dreams or something better. He will never know someone is loving him or someone is giving him something he has always wanted or never had.

We couldn't be perfect, but we must be brave enough to love, strong enough to forgive (原谅)， kind enough to share （分享）happiness with others and clever enough to know there is enough love around us and then we can always live a wonderful time in our lives.
