一、 概述

本手册中AIX系统统一采用CD-ROM进行安装，AIX的版本为5.3。所用到的光盘介质有AIX 5.3操作系统安装盘（共八张）、Document安装盘。

系统的安装部分共分为BOS的安装、Bundle的安装、Document的安装（可选）、补丁的安装以及系统参数设置五个部分。其中系统参数设置部分可以同步进行（在安装完BOS后）。图形CDE登录可以用多窗口方式进行，字符终端接入可以用Telnet方式变通进行。

注意，在本手册中所有的操作均需使用root用户身份来完成。

二、 安装及设置

2.1BOS的安装

步骤1： 由光盘进行引导

外部设备加电，待机器面板上的绿灯变成闪烁状态后按下Power键，将操作系统的第一张光盘插入DVD-ROM驱动器，待keyboard字样或图标出现在控制台上后，按F1/1键进入SMS中，选择Multiboot修改bootlist，选择从光盘引导，或直接在SMS选择Multiboot选择Install from中的cd0来进行安装，或者直接通过按5/F5键（新的机器只支持5）直接从光盘进行引导。

步骤2：选择主控台

步骤3：选择安装系统时所用的语言

步骤6：选择安装模式

按1修改安装方式以及安装rootvg的硬盘介质

Change Method of Installation

Type the number of your choice and press Enter.

1 New and Complete Overwrite

Overwrites EVERYTHING on the disk selected for installation.

Warning: Only use this method if the disk is totally empty or there is nothing on the disk you want to preserve. 2 Preservation Install

Preserves SOME of the existing data on the disk selected for Installation.

Warning: This method overwrites the user (/usr), variable (/var), temporary (/tmp), and root (/) file systems. Other product (application) files and configuration data will be destroyed.

3 Migration Install

缺省情况下安装是32位基本内核，32位基本内核可以仿真64位应用。如果需要64位基本内核，将Enable 64-bit Kernel的设置改为yes，建议同时启用JFS2，否则保留原来设置。其他选项一般按默认设置。各选项含义如下：

Desktop

选择操作系统安装好后的图形界面，默认是CDE.

如果选择GNOME或KDE,在安装过程中系统会提示插入 AIX Toolbox for Linux Applications CD.

Enable Trusted Computing Base

Trusted Computing Base (TCB) 是AIX中的一个安全选项.只能在操作系统安装时激活。操作系统安装好后，该选项不能被更改。

Enable CAPP and EAL4+ Technology

只在new and complete overwrite installation有效. 如果Controlled Access Protection Profile (CAPP) 和Evaluation Assurance Level 4+ (EAL4+)被激活，其它相关选项必须如下设置：

Desktop = CDE or NONE TCB = yes

64-bit kernel = yes JFS2 = yes

Enable System Backups to install any system (Installs all devices and kernels) = no Install more software options = no

Import User Volume Groups

在 migration installation and preservation installation有效. 将该选项设为yes,系统在安装过程中会import所有用户volume group.

Enable 64-bit Kernel

在64-bit Common Hardware Reference Platform (CHRP)系统中有效. 设置系统安装好后运行在64位内核上，否则系统使用32位内核。

Create JFS2 File Systems

在 64-bit kernel选项被激活时有效（JFS2必须运行在64位内核上）. 设置系统是否支持JFS2文件系统。

Graphics Software

是否安装图形软件。

Documentation Services Software

安装documentation services软件。

Remove Java 1.1.8 Software

在migration installation and preservation installation有效. 是否删除原有的Java version

是否安装所有的驱动程序和内核，这样就可以用本系统的备份在任何其他系统上恢复。

在 Install More Software 可以选择在BOS安装过程中可以同时被安装的software bundle，这些software bundle也可以在系统安装好后使用smitty easy_install另外选择安装.

步骤10：开始安装

进行完上述的设置以后选择1或者按下回车键即可开始安装，安装时间视机型而定。安装过程界面如下：

BOS安装完毕，系统将自动重启并进入安装辅助菜单，退出安装辅助菜单，用root登录进入系统，系统刚安装完，root的口令为空。

2.2Bundle的安装

本部分内容共包括Server Bundle，App-Dev Bundle以及bos.data、bos.dosutils两个
