Steep 1: leading-in

1. Teaching: Do you konw what mean of those pictures is 2. Student: Its means..... 3. Teacher opens the powerpoint. Steep 2 prsentation:

1. Listen to the tape twice and answer four questions. Then teacher show the answer to students.

2. Here are some questions , after students listen to the text. a) Where was I doing when Harry Steele came in ? I was having dinner at a restaurant..... b) Where is he working now ? He is now working at a bank . b) What does Harry Steele always do ?

He always borrows money from his friends and never pays it back.

c) What did I do white he was eating? I asked him to lend me twenty pounds.

3. learn the words: use explaination to introduce the words,

students learn to say the new words with help of the teacher.

4. the new structures : was / were + doing Steep 3: practice

1) The teacher retells the text by using some main words and phrase.

2) Students retell the text third together and practice in pairs. Steep 4 : production

Ask some students to retell the text. Steep 5: homework: Recite the new work.
