Mike Robinson is a fifteen-year-old American boy and his sister Clare is fourteen. At the moment, Mike and Clare are in Cairo in Egypt ,one of the biggest and busiest cities in Africa.

Scientists think that there has been life on the earth for hundreds of millions of years. However, we have not found life on any other planets yet.

The earth is a planet and it goes around the sun. Seven other planets also go around the sun. None of them has an environment like that of the earth, so scientists do not think they will find life on them. There are billions of stars in the Galaxy ,and our sun is only one of them.

Many students have hobbies, such as reading,painting,growing vegetables and looking after animals, Some hobbies are relaxing and others are active. Hobbies can make you grow as a person,, develop your interests and help you learn new skills.

很多学生都有爱好，比如阅读、绘画、种菜和照看动物。有些爱好是休闲的，有些是忙碌的。爱好可以促使你成长，培养你的兴趣，并帮助你学习新技能。

David Smith is a student, and one of his hobbies is writing. During the summer of 2010, he spent four weeks at a summer camp. As well as the usual activities ,such as sailing and climbing, there was a writing class.

"The teacher was a writer,and she asked us to talk about our lives and tell interesting stories. Then she encouraged us to write about

our experiences at the camp. "
