Unit 5 First aid

Lesson Plan Interpretation

Good morning, Ladies and Gentlemen. It’s my great pleasure to be here sharing my lesson with you. I prepare to say the lesson from five parts.

Part 1: Analysis of the Teaching Material

I. Topic introduction

本单元的中心话题为“急救”,具体涉及生活急救常识,即在一些紧急情况下应采取的急救措施,尤为详细地陈述了“烧伤”的急救常识,并通过一个真实的第一时间对被刺伤者进行急救的故事阐明急救的重要性。语言学习的词汇(词性转换与填词)和语法(省略)以急救为载体展开,内容与形式相辅相成,学生在了解急救常识的同时掌握了与急救相关的词汇和句子。本节课是复习本单元的内容,做好单词,短语及部分句型的回顾工作并为以后的学习做好铺垫。

II. Analysis of the students

As Senior2 Ss, they are at different levels of English fluency, some of them have lost interest in English. So during the lesson, I arrange a variety of activities to let all of them join in to attract their interest and let them be confident and taste the joy of success.

III. Teaching objectives

1.Knowledge objectives:Review unit 5 ,master the realted words and useful expressions of frist aid.

2.Ability objectives: Imporve students’abilities of speaking and writing.

3.Emotion objectives:Train students’abilities of studying by yourself and cooperating. IV. Teaching keys and difficult points

The key points of this lesson :To master the important words and sentences patterns of this unit .

The difficult points of this lesson: How to help the Ss have the ability to use what they’ve learnt to do first aid treatment for burns correctly and help them write short article about first aid.

V. Teaching aids:

pictures, multi-media

Part 2 TeacTask-based method

brainstorming, competition, discussion, class work, etc.

Part 3 Studying Methods:

a)Encourage the students to communicate in English bravely in a relaxed and agreeable atmosphere.

b) Help the students understand the new knowledge through seeing, hearing, saying, observing, imagining , thinking etc.

Part 4 Teaching Process:

Step1 Lead-in

Show them a good article to attract their attention and lead in the new lesson. Step2 Presentation and practice.

1.Show some important words on the screen let them read it together in order to let

them pay attention to them and master them better.

3.To reappear the key points in the learning plan and let them do more exercises. Step 3Let the students write the words and structres on the blackboard (papare for writing an article )

Step4 translate some sentences into English.

Step5 write an article

Students work in groups to write down a short passage about how you will give her first aid for burns.(By this step, it achieved the teaching aim of developing the students’ abilities of speaking and writing about first aid. )

Part 5 Self-evaluation and predictions

In my design, I follow the demands of the new English Curricular Standards, apply the Communication Approach and Task-based Approach to make the students the active participants in class.

In this lesson, I use PPT and write the difficult points with different color chalk, thus break through the difficult points. And I designed several tasks. By having a competition and making an article, the students will become very interested in speaking and learning English, and in these activities, they can master the knowledge easily.

Blackboard design

At last, let me show you my blackboard design: The title is in the middle, on the left side is some important words and expressions, and then on the left of it is the result of the discussion.

(The Blackboard Design is to let the Ss have a clear idea to get the vocabulary of accidents and first aid)
