Unit 4 Neighborhood

Lesson 1 He lives next to me

1.课型:新授

2.教学目标:

知识目标:认读单词:next, neighbor, stay, neighbourhood, show, around,idea。认读目标语句:He lives next to me.

能力目标:能听懂录音,能灵活运用一般现在时的第三人称单数形式谈论他人的相关生活信息等。

情感目标:初步了解中西方社区的不同,培养学生跨文化交际能力。

重点:单词的认读及目标语句的灵活运用。

难点:正确运用一般现在时的第三人称单数形式表述他们的居住地点、兴趣爱好等。

Step1: Warm-up

T: Hello children. Nice to see you again. What’s your hobby?

Ss: My hobby is ….

T: Look, this is Jenny. Where is she from?

S1: She’s from Canada.

(呈现出Sam, Mary等形象和国家,让学生之间进行对话交流。) Step 2: Presentation

1.播放录音,整体感知。

T: Look!This is Jack. He’s our new friend. Where is he from?

(通过学生自己的文本阅读,很快的找到答案。)

S1: He’s from Ottawa.

T: Where did Jenny live in Ottawa? Let’s listen and find the answer.

引导学生找到答案:“She lived in Young Street.”

T: Jack lived in Young Street,too. So, Jack and Jenny were neighbours in Canada. 出示单词卡,教授“neighbour”.

2.第二遍录音,学习单词。

T: Where does Jack live now?播放光盘,引导学生回答:He lives next to Li Ming. 教师接着说:“Li Ming and Jack are neighbours. They are in a neighbourhood.”教师出示卡片学习“next to”“neighbourhood”。

T: Does he enjoy his stay in Beijing? Why?引导学生通过读文本找到答案“Yes,he does. He likes Chinese food. And the new neighbourhood is nice.”学习新单词“stay”。

3.播放录音,模仿跟读。

学习show, around, idea.

指导学生语音语调。

Step 3: Practice

1.Challenge your eyes.

呈现本课的新单词让学生扑捉闪过的单词,快速的读出来。

2.Read the text by yourselves.

自己读课文。

3.Let’s talk.

看活动2,教师和学生问答后,跟读,然后同桌练习,再展示。

1.课型:巩固拓展

2.教学目标:

知识目标:能听懂、会说、认读、规范书写单词:men, think, supermarket, beside。能听懂、会说、认读单词:garden, chess, Chinese chess, bookshop, centre, skate。认读目标语句:There is a supermarket beside it. Is there a gym around? No.

能力目标:能听懂录音,能用there be 句型讨论小区的设施。

情感目标:乐于说英语乐于和别人进行交际,初步了解中西方社区的不同,培养学生的跨文化交际能力。

正确运用there be 句型介绍自己小区的设施等。

1. Leading-in

T: Li Ming shows Jack around the neighbourhood. “What’ in the neighbourhood?”引导学生通过观看光盘,初步感知,回答:“There is a garden, a bookshop, a supermarket, a sport centre.”板书单词,并且学习读音。

2.呈现第一幅图片,提问:“What are the men doing in the garden?”播放录音,回答问题。学习单词“men\ Chinese chess”教师接着说:“Jack认为‘Chinese chess is different from their chess.’Do you think so? Why?”学习单词think,并给学生介绍中国象棋和国际象棋的不同。

3.T: Where is the supermarket? Let’s listen and find the answer.

Ss: There is a supermarket beside the bookshop.出示单词卡片学习单词“beside”。

4.Is there a gym around? And what is Danny doing?

引导学生看光盘,回答并板书:“No,there isn’t.”学习单词“sports centre\ skate”

5.播放录音,模仿跟读,注意语音语调。

请学生认真观察课本上的图片,播放录音,学生模仿跟读后上台展示,之后全班操练此部分内容。

2.教学目标:

知识目标:能听懂、会说、认读、规范书写单词:people,women。能听懂、会说、认读单词: lots of, themselves, enjoy themselves, follow, come over。能听懂、会说并认读句子:Some women are singing Beijing Opera near the lake. Some old men are doing taijiquan under the tree.

能力目标:能听懂录音,模仿录音;能运用现在进行时的陈述句形式描述他人正在进行的活动。

情感目标:让学生初步了解中西方社区的不同,培养学生的跨文化交际能力。

学生阅读能力的培养,读懂问题找答案的能力培养。

T: Let’s play a game.老师做打太极拳的姿势,问学生:“What am I doing?”“Yes,I’m doing taijiquan. What are they doing?(呈现打太极、唱京剧的图片)The people are enjoying themselves.教学“people, enjoying themselves”。

Step 2 presentation

1.Leading-in

T: They are doing taijiquan. They’re singing Beijing Opera. They are enjoying themselves. Where are the people? Are they having lots of fun? Do you want to know? Let’s open your books and turn to page 38. Read the text and find the answers.

2.学生快速读课文,回答问题。(白板课件上显示。)

3.再次阅读文本,回答问题。

(1)T:There are many people in the park. They are enjoying themselves. Where are the women?教学单词“women”。

Ss: The women are under the tree.(板书留出空间)

(2)T: Some women are under the tree. What are the women doing under the tree?Talk about the question in pairs.

S1:Some women are singing Beijing Opera under the tree.(板书:singing Beijing Opera填到句子中。)

(3)T: The women are singing Beijing Opera.What are the people doing?(直接让全体同学回答出来。) Where are the people doing taijiquan? Read the text

and

discuss in pairs.

板书:Some people are doing taijiquan near the lake.

(4)T: Jack wants to learn it. Is Jack learning kung fu from Danny?

S1: Yes, he is.

4.跟读课文,解决单词。

Step1: Warm-up

1.教师呈现本单元的单词卡片,学生快速读出单词,复习本单元知识。

2.呈现本单元的主情境图,复习课文主题内容

(1)Where is Jack from? Does he enjoy his stay in China?

(2)What’s that blue building? Is there a ….in your neighbourhood?

(3)Where are the people doing taijiquan? What are the women doing under the tree?

Step2:Practice

1.教师出示活动一的图片,播放录音,完成听音排序。

2.讨论图片,进行语言交流。

3.活动2。进行句子连读的训练。

Step3: Production

1. 活动3.Let’s read.

学生自读短文,找到不认识的单词。借助Notes进行帮助理解。 检查学生题目情况,请学生回答。

播放录音学生跟读短文。

2.Fun time.

先让学生自己阅读,然后在小组内讨论有趣在什么地方。引导学生说出有趣

点是狗宝宝把新邻居的名字Targer 误当成tiger.。

3.完成配套练习。

8.作业布置:

听本单元的录音,并模仿跟读,注意语音语调。

画出自己的社区或者是设计自己理想的社区并进行介绍。
