第一届大学生学术英语词汇竞赛

一、 宗旨

词汇是进行有效学术英语阅读和写作中很重要的因素。为激发学生学术英语词汇学习的积极性，促进他们学术英语词汇能力发展，我们决定在6月4日进行第一届大学生学术英语词汇竞赛。

二、 内容

本竞赛包括两个内容。1）考察学生能否正确辨认词义和搭配；2）测试学生词汇量大小（由于我们形成多套试卷，因此可以测试其年内提高幅度）。样题见附录。测试范围暂用《通用学术英语教学参考词表》。本词表由上海高校大学英语教学指导委员会编写，由上海交通大学出版在2014年出版。词表共收入词汇8400个，覆盖BNC3000词族100%， AWL词族100%, 雅思核心词汇90%, 托福核心词汇89%，四、六级词汇99%，欧框词汇85%。据对比统计这8400单词在Nation14000词族中占了6000左右的词族，因此8400单词的含金量很高（有些派生词没有放入）

三、参加对象

凡是参加学术英语课程的学生均可报名参赛。报名表由学校统一组织上传竞赛委员会，获得机上考试密码。

四、组织领导

大学生学术英语竞赛组委会由中国学术英语教学研究会、上海高校大学英语教学指导委员会、北京基易测试公司和国际英孚

集团组成。 组委会下设立第一届大学生学术英语词汇竞赛委员会（以下简称“竞委会”）

五、工作步骤

1．3月15日公布样题。

2．报送名单。4月20日前将 “第一届大学生学术英语词汇竞赛报名表”报送竞委会,。报名表由学校集体保送，包括学生姓名、专业、年级、有否选修学术英语课程和邮箱。

五、证书设置

凡是获得90分以上的学生将获得“学术英语词汇竞赛优秀证书”、测试为6000词汇量以上将获得“学术英语词汇量等级证书”。证书将由中国学术英语教学研究会和上海高校大学英语教学指导委员会联合颁发。凡是学校总分排在前面的，均获得“学术英语词汇发展推进优秀院校”证书。
