Unit 13 Rainy days make me sad.

Section A( 1a~Grammar Focus)

教学目标:

语言知识目标

1、能够运用所学知识,谈论或询问事物对我们情绪的影响或人对某一件事或物的看法。

2、学会比较,分析不同事物的优缺点,从而进行优化选择。

语言技能目标

1、学习动词make的用法,即make+宾语+形容词,并能在实际情境中简单地运用。

2.学会以下基本句型:

What kind of music do you like ?

Which one would you rather go to ?

Loud music makes me tense/angry/---

Soft music makes me sleepy/sad/---

Soft music makes her relaxed/---

The awful pictures make me tense/...

3.能听懂听力内容,并能完成相应的练习。

情感态度目标

培养学生做一个情感丰富的人。

学习策略目标

通过小组对话等方式比较不同的事物,谈论它们对我们情绪的影响。

教学重点与难点

1、词汇:描写“feelings(感受)”的形容词

2、动词make的用法: make+宾语+形容词,make sb. do sth.

课时:One Period

教学方式:任务型教学法,小组学习,小黑板辅助教学等。

教学过程:

一、导入(Lead-in)

(1) Lead in topic and target language through playing a piece of music .Do a survey about what kind of music students love. Present the following sentences on the blackboard according to students’students’ attention to the phrases underlined.引导学生归纳此处make的用法:make sb\sth +adj.

(2) 大脑风暴(Brain Storm),通过竞答的方式逐一呈现。

二、新课呈现(Presentation)

(1)Teaching 1a.

Ask students to pay more attention to the picture in 1a below.

—What are they?—Two restaurants.—What’s the name of each?—One is Rockin’s Restaurant.The other is Blue Lagoon.Imagine you’re hungry now and want to get sth to eat.—Which one would you rather go to?Do a survey. Lead students to answer using “make sb\sth+adj. ”

(2) Tell students the two girls in picture are Tina and Amy.They are talking about the two restaurants.

—What do they think of them ? Play the tape and ask students to listen carefully and complete 1b.

Check the answers.

(3)Teaching 2a.

Draw students’ attention to the four pictures in 2a and describe them simply.Tell students the activities is that Tina and Amy engaged in last night.

—What is the sequence of them ?

Play the tape and ask students to complete 2a.

Check the answers.

Teaching 2b.Point to the statements in the box and ask students to read them one by one.Make sure they all understand the meaning of each.Present the following sentences on the blackboard. (3) Draw students’ attention to the phrases underlined.引导学生归纳此处make的用法:make sb do sth.

Play the tape again ,ask students to listen carefully and check the things they hear.

Check the answers.

三、(Pair work)操练

Teaching 2c

Ask one pair to read the sample conversation.

Then ask students to make their new conversations according to the information from 2a and 2b. Finally ask several pairs to share their conversations with class.
